Maritime Industry Support

Strong relationships with our Defense Department and industry partners are vital to DLA’s mission. In the coming years that insightful engagement will allow DLA to anticipate and meet the demands of the diverse and constantly changing circumstances our warfighters face. Our knowledge about their strengths, challenges, and priorities, helps us make informed decisions in the development and delivery of the right solutions. This increased communication benefits DLA, our industry partners, Defense Department, and, above all, warfighters.

Our work with industry allows us to understand cost drivers, makes contract execution easier, and enables more efficient and effective production and acquisition methods. The increased understanding we gain through regular meetings and conferences, as well as day-to-day communications, lets us address concerns and leverage the knowledge gained, engage in information-sharing, and improve support both before and after contract award.
