Description:

The blood drive for today has been cancelled at the request of ASBP.

Vehicle maintenance issues prevent them from driving to Columbus. 

 

The next blood drive is scheduled for July 25, 2018.

 

 


The blood drives are at the Byus Community Ctr. Bldg. 14, located on Pershing Ave. on the north side of Bldg. 20/21 parking lots between 15th and 16th Boulevards. Parking is available on both the north and south sides of the building.

 

The taxi/shuttle service is available for transportation by calling 614-636-0889 or 614-256-0889 as needed.

 Blood collection quotas are dependent on supply and demand requirements. At this time Blood Program Staff are actively recruiting volunteer donors with blood types O+, O-, and a limited number of A+, A-. B- and AB+/-. ALL BLOOD TYPES WILL BE ACCEPTED, NO ONE WILL BE TURNED AWAY DUE TO THEIR BLOOD TYPE.

Donors are eligible up to 4 hours of admin leave upon successful donation, mission requirements and supervisor approval. Base contractors must check with supervisor for appropriate leave.

Plenty of parking is available, or call the taxi at (614) 636-0889 or (614) 256-0889. Appointments are preferred and given priority. Walk-ins are accepted, but you may have to wait. Please note the drive will not accept donors after 1330. Please be on time for appointments.

Please call the American Red Cross at 1-800-Red-Cross, or go on-line at http://www.redcrossblood.org/ to schedule your appointment - sponsor code is DSCC. Eligibility to donate is based upon mission requirements and supervisor approval. Remember to check with your supervisor prior to scheduling. The blood drive is open to all installation associates, military, retirees (civilian and military), tenants, and base contractors - closed to the general public. Try the new RAPID PASS tool that allows donors to save up to 15 minutes during the donation process.
