McNamara Headquarters Complex employees celebrated Black History Month in a unique way Feb. 27. Teams representing the Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Contract Audit Agency and the Defense Technical Information Center tested their knowledge of black history by competing in an interactive, quiz-style competition following the style of a popular television gameshow.

Actions to help others should be focus of Martin Luther King Jr. birthday, says nephew

Isaac Newton Farris Jr. remembers the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. as “Uncle M.L.,” his mother’s lighthearted younger brother, fond of bike rides and pranks. He also remembers two major themes his uncle would advocate for just as strongly today, he told an audience Jan. 16 in the McNamara Headquarters Complex.

Headquarters complex employees ring in the holidays

McNamara Headquarters Complex employees celebrated an annual tradition at the Dec. 6 Christmas tree lighting ceremony and holiday social. Before the tree lighting ceremony, DLA Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell Williams hosted an agencywide open house event to encourage its employees to share talents, mingle and partake in refreshments.
