DLA provides critical supplies to USAID for Nepal pandemic response

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Gloves, face masks and other COVID-19 supplies from Defense Logistics Agency Distribution are being flown to Nepal as part of the U.S. government’s effort to support the international pandemic response.

U.S. Service members with the Joint Task Force 505 prepare boxes of aid and relief supplies to be loaded onto an aircraft at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal, May 14, in order for the supplies to be delivered to remote locations during Operation Sahayogi Haat. JTF 505 along with other multinational forces and humanitarian relief organizations are currently in Nepal providing aid after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the country, April 25 and a 7.3 earthquake on May 12.
