Harvey chosen as Richmond’s new deputy director

Agency employees learn to value ‘sound of silence’

Improving communication among the workforce has long been a goal of the Defense Logistics Agency, and employees over the years have asked for instruction in American Sign Language to help them communicate with their deaf and hard-of-hearing coworkers.

Thanks to volunteers from the Defense Logistics Agency, installation support personnel working Dec. 24-25 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, will have homemade cookies to let them know they’re appreciated.

Richmond, Virginia — Employees of DLA Aviation Customer Operations Mapping held a holiday luncheon for many of their children, Dec. 20, in their office on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. The children enjoyed music, and snacks while they made Christmas cards to attach to the gifts, purchased by employees, to donate to the children who are patients at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University.
