DLA Distribution pilots new Warehouse and Transportation Management System at Corpus Christi site

DLA Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas, has launched a commercial, off-the-shelf Warehouse Management System- the first of its kind within the network. The system is designed to offer flexible, automated support for processing various goods movements and for managing stocks within the distribution center.

Susquehanna’s Emergency Supply Operations Center practice the Continuity of Operations Plan

Members of the Continuity of Operations planners of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution gathered in the Emergency Supply Operations Center of Defense Distribution Susquehanna on Nov. 6 to test the center’s ability to receive high priority ESOC orders, and to successfully pick, pack and ship items to the customer, in an environment where Defense Standard System is not available.

Distribution Standard System goes live at DLA Distribution detachment sites

In 2010, the storage missions at the Naval Construction Battalions in Port Hueneme, Calif., and Gulfport, Miss., transferred to Defense Logistics Agency Distribution as part of the Navy Warehouse Transfer initiative. These sites originally reported to Naval Supply Systems Command and supported the Navy Seabee battalions at these locations. Port Hueneme is now under the direction of DLA Distribution San Diego, while Gulfport falls under DLA Distribution Jacksonville.
