Event puts creative spin on domestic violence awareness

Richmond, Va. — Come out and break a sweat while bringing awareness to the issue of domestic violence at this year’s Spin for the Cause/Breaking the Cycle of Domestic Violence. A joint venture between Defense Logistics Agency Installation Operations Richmond and the U.S. Army Reserve 80th Training Command, Spin for the Cause encourages physical and mental fitness to help overcome obstacles and gain empowerment.

(June 24, 2015) Alex Absher, 5, races to beat his father, Defense Threat Reduction Agency employee Lennol Absher, during the "fun" run/walk at the 2015 McNamara Headquarters Complex's Family Day June 24. More than 100 participants competed in the race, sponsored by the HQC Fitness Center.
