DLA Energy marks transition of leadership

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — A relinquishment of command ceremony marking the transition of leadership between Defense Logistics Agency Energy Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Martin Chapin to the DLA Energy Deputy Commander Guy Beougher was held in the Headquarters McNamara Auditorium May 1.

DLA’s Acquisition director visits Distribution

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Service, along with several procurement analysts from headquarters, visited DLA Distribution on June 12. His main purpose for the site visit was to review DLA Distribution’s contract oversight program, meet with the acquisition workforce, and have a tour of DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania’s Eastern Distribution Center.

Williams assumes responsibility as DLA director

Army Maj. Gen. (Promotable) Darrell Williams was promoted to lieutenant general and became the 19th director of the Defense Logistics Agency June 16 in a ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex.

RICHMOND, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency’s Kathy Cutler, DLA Information Operations director, and chief information officer hosted an “Ask the CIO” Town Hall June 8 in the Lotts Conference Center on Defense supply Center Richmond, Virginia. The purpose of the event was to provide insight on the agency’s current Information Technology initiatives and to answer employee’s questions.
