Respected and highly impressive performers earn DLA Aviation’s employee of the month honors for January

Reggie Sanders, a sustainment specialist within the Planning Division at Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Jacksonville, Florida, and June Leeper, , a contracting specialist within the Emergency Contract Support Division at DLA Aviation at San Diego, California, were selected as DLA Aviation’s Employees of the Month for January. Leeper won in the general schedule 10-13 category. Sanders took the award in the GS 1-9 category.

Grieving mothers find strength from family, friends and DLA Employee Assistance Program

In the mid-1980’s, the late pop icon Prince recorded a song for the Under the Cherry Moon soundtrack titled Sometimes it Snows in April. In it, he laments “Sometimes I wish that life was never ending, but all good things they say, never last.” It’s an emotion Gail Gillus, a supervisory program analyst within Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Command Support Directorate’s Resource Management Division at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, has experienced for the past five months.

DSCR testing mass warning system during Virginia annual tornado drill March 8

Virginia Severe Weather Awareness Week 2022 takes place March 7-11. On March 8, the annual tornado response drill will take place throughout many cities and counties within the commonwealth. During the drill, Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management Richmond employees on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, will test the mass warning notification system, Giant Voice, with a "seek shelter" message.

Trang Ho Nguyen, an inventory management specialist in the Materiel Management Division of Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Cherry Point, North Carolina, and Christina Nelson, a customer support specialist lead in the Materiel Management Division of DLA Aviation at Jacksonville, Florida, were both named DLA Aviation Employees of the Month for December 2021.
