DLA Land and Maritime looks to the future while recognizing 75 years of Air Force achievement

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander Army Brig. Gen. Gail Atkins and members of her leadership team hosted the U.S. Air Force 75th birthday celebration at the Defense Supply Center Columbus’ Mission Park Pavilion Sept. 16, to recognize the historical achievements and highlight the future of the service.

Exit Interview with Col. Christopher Tooman, Land and Maritime Chief of Staff

Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime will complete a changeover this month in its Chief of Staff position as U.S. Air Force Col. Christopher Tooman transitions to his next command challenge. Defense Supplier Conference returns to Columbus, Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio — After a four-year hiatus, Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime and the National Defense Industry Association brought the DLA Land and Maritime Supplier Conference and Exhibition back to downtown Columbus, Ohio, April 6-7. More than 800 defense industry representatives packed a ballroom in the Greater Columbus Convention Center for first day speakers, including Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment Steven Morani, DLA Director Navy Vice Adm. Michelle Skubic, and DLA Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. Kristen Fabry.

Violence prevention a focus in April 2022

Navy once again comes out on top at the second annual Navy Birthday COVATTA

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Out of a field of 10 hand built and meticulously decorated boats, Don E’s Revenge, owned by Navy Cmdr. Eric McCandless, blew out the competition and emerged victorious, an improvement on his second place finish last year. Some of his competitors came close but he was sure it was certain modifications that thwarted all others in the field that day in the second annual COVATTA, a abridged version of the annual regatta staged at the Eagle Eye Golf Course pond pre-COVID. The COVATTA was part of the 246th Navy Birthday celebration at Defense Supply Center Columbus.
