Automated phone line helps employees; customers reach DLA offices at DSCR

Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Richmond, Virginia, has updated the DLA information phone line for Defense Supply Center Richmond. The automated number, 804-279-3861, can be used by employees, customers and the public to assist and connect them to various DLA Installation Support offices, as well as other DLA organizations and offices on post.

Land and Maritime engineer honored for fiber optics work

The Department of Defense is engaged in a continual effort to improve operational efficiencies of the weapons systems used by the nation’s military services. Many of the systems have incorporated fiber optics in place of older cable wiring technology to improve performance and reduce overall weight.Integrating that fiber optic technology into the
