Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Tyndall Air Force Base website — The 325th Logistics Readiness Squadron recently vacated the unit’s warehouse, which was permanently damaged by Hurricane Michael last year. The warehouse held 500,080 items that needed to be moved as quickly as possible to save from damage by the elements.

NATO partner tours DLA Energy petroleum lab

Representatives from the Netherlands Ministry of Defense visited DLA Energy Europe & Africa’s Petroleum Laboratory to learn about its fuel testing capabilities, Oct. 15. Leaders toured the Rhine Ordnance Barracks facility in Germany to gain a better understanding of how aviation and ground fuels are tested for quality and purity.

Subsistence, USDA partnership sets new high for schools receiving fresh produce

When the Department of Defense Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program started in 1995, school districts in only eight states signed on with the partnership effort. By the end of fiscal 2019, the DOD Fresh program has grown to include districts nationwide, reaching record numbers of participants at the start of this school year.
