Think fire safety this summer!

Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management Richmond, Virginia’s Fire Prevention Office would like to remind everyone that with summer fun comes summer hazards. With many people couped up for the last couple years, many are now feeling comfortable meeting up in groups and starting to get back together. If you have a gathering that includes outside fire pits or bon fires, make sure to check your local ordinances to see if you are allowed to have an open fire in your area.

DLA Aviation, Air Force award contract for aircraft component support

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Ogden's Strategic Contracting Division on Hill Air Force Base, Utah, jointly with the Hill Air Force Base Commodity Council, awarded a $444M performance-based logistics contract which allows Parker Aerospace to directly provide support to actuators for multiple Air Force aircrafts. Actuators help control the various aircraft hydraulic components.

Air Force Col. Jason Okumura became the commander of Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Ogden, Utah during a change of command ceremony held on Hill Air Force Base, Utah, June 28. The ceremony was officiated by former DLA Aviation commander Air Force Brig. Gen. David Sanford, who was selected for promotion to Maj. Gen.

DLA Aviation welcomes its 34th commander during change of command ceremony

Air Force Brig. Gen. David Sanford relinquished command to Air Force Brig. Gen. Sean Tyler June 30, making Tyler the 34th commander of Defense Logistics Agency Aviation during a Change of Command ceremony in the Frank B. Lotts Conference Center at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Sanford, who was selected for major general, will be director of logistics, engineering and force protection for Headquarters Air Mobility Command at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
