Norfolk commander addresses new NJROTC graduates

NORFOLD, Virginia — Representing five Norfolk area high schools, 125 students recently graduated from Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Basic Leadership Training, where they learned character education, student achievement, wellness, leadership, and diversity.

San Joaquin deputy retires after 45 years of Federal service

SAN JOAQUIN, Pennsylvania — DLA Distribution San Joaquin, Calif.’s deputy commander has retired after 45 years of Federal service. In honor of his dedication to the organization, Paul Balash III received the DLA Exceptional Civilian Service Award.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Deneen L.M. Diggs, chief of Missions and Manpower within DLA Distribution’s J9 Expeditionary Logistics, graduated salutatorian from the Martin Luther King Leadership Development Institute of Harrisburg, Pa., on June 26.

Ryan Miller, a materials examiner and identifier in the Preservation, Packaging, Packing and Marking division of DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., has been named Employee of the week for the week of July 4 to 8.

Foreign officers' course visits DLA Distribution for lesson on DoD logistics

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — On July 6, students in the Navy Supply Corps School’s International Leadership Executive Advanced Development course visited the Department of Defense’s largest distribution center to learn how DoD does global logistics.
