Upgraded facilities to keep Edwards vehicles running for years to come

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Edwards Air Force Base website — The 412th Civil Engineer Group celebrated the completion of repairs and upgrades to the main base military gas station Feb. 26. Base civil engineers and contractors from Gilbane Federal got together to cut the ceremonial ribbon signifying the completion of the $1,187,000 project.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony and dedication was held for a new Defense Fuel Support Point at Point Loma in San Diego, California, Feb. 9. The double-decker fuel pier is the first of its kind; developed with evolving environmental and seismic standards in mind and boasting a 75-year minimum service life design.
