DLA Distribution San Joaquin supporting fight against wildfires
According to CalFire, wildland fires have already burned over 2.7 million acres of land with over 7,600 fire incidents in California alone. The men and women of the Wildland Fire Support Mission at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Joaquin, California are keeping busy in their critical mission by providing supplies to the firefighters through the Ontario and Redding California fire caches. Some examples of the types of equipment that DDJC has been sending are fire hoses, nozzles, clothing, meals-ready-to-eat, shovels and Pulaski tools. Pictured is distribution process worker Vinnie Somsanith of the Wildland Fire Mission team packing boxes of firefighting equipment destined to the fire caches.
