Distribution commanding general Army Brig. Gen. John S. Laskodi presented Humanitarian Effort Awards to the Red River Expeditionary Team on April 18, for going above and beyond overall mission support and for their contributions to the DLA Distribution relief efforts.

Oct. 12, 2017 - Hurricane Harvey, a Category 4 major hurricane forming Aug. 17, and making landfall in Southern Texas on Aug. 25, was an extremely destructive Atlantic hurricane, becoming the first major hurricane to make landfall in the United States since Wilma in 2005, ending a record 12-year drought in which no hurricanes had made landfall at such an intensity in the country.

Sept. 29, 2017 - The DLA Distribution Red River, Texas, Expeditionary team makes up one-third of the DLA Distribution Expeditionary team. The other two-thirds are located at DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania and DLA Distribution San Joaquin, California.
