DLA Corporate EEO and Diversity Office

The DLA Corporate Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Office (DO):

  • Champion of equality, opportunity and diversity.
  • Serves as the Agency's lead respondent and subject matter experts on all EEO, Affirmative Employment and Diversity matters.
  • Ensures agency-wide compliance with federal statutes, regulations, executive orders, etc.
  • Provides guidance to Primary Level Field Activity (PLFA) EEO Offices in support of daily operations and advises agency leadership on EEO and diversity related issues.
  • Daily operations are supported by three divisions

Complaints and Compliance (DO-C)

Provide oversight for enterprise-wide EEO complaints process, including DLA’s EEO investigation.

Conduct EEO training and development for DLA workforce and DLA EEO practitioners.

Ensure compliance with agency EEO policies, instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Prepare agency reports highlighting agency complaint trends.

Affirmative Employment/Diversity (DO-D)

Develop and implement policy, programs and initiatives related to DLA Diversity and Inclusion, Affirmative Employment and Reasonable Accommodation.

Oversee and ensure compliance with Federal Special Emphasis Program (SEP) requirements.

Prepare reports highlighting agency demographics and trends.

Identify and facilitate the elimination of work place barriers.

Operations (DO-S)

Manage the EEO complaint and reasonable accommodation processes for Headquarters workforce.

Develop, coordinate, and execute specific actions to meet the objectives of the Special Emphasis Programs.

Provide EEO services for Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) and Joint Chief of Staff (JCS).

Provide EEO specific training.

Manage the Affirmative Employment Plan.
