COL Andre Toussaint USA

Colonel Andre L. Toussaint is a native of San Diego, California. He holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Logistics Management from Florida Institute of Technology. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Foreign Languages from Norfolk State University where he graduated with honors. He received his commission through the Reserve Officers Training Corps as a Distinguished Military Graduate (DMG) and entered active duty as a Second Lieutenant in the Transportation Corps in 1999.


Colonel Toussaint is currently serving as a student at the Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS), Joint Forces Staff College (JFSC), National Defense University (NDU) in Norfolk, Virginia. His previous assignments include: Platoon Leader, 126th Transportation Company (PLS), Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Protocol Officer, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; S1, 25th Transportation Battalion, Yongsan, Korea; Operations Officer, 24th Transportation Battalion, Fort Eustis, Virginia; Commander, 1098th Transportation Company (Medium Boat), Fort Eustis, Virginia; OIC, Convoy Support Team, Camp Buehring, Kuwait; 1st TSC LNO to U.S. Forces Afghanistan, Kabul; Executive Officer, 1st TSC STB, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait; Commander, 690th Rapid Port Opening Element (SDDC), Joint Base Langley Eustis, VA; Operational Contract Support Integration Cell (OCSIC) OIC for Combined Joint Forces Land Component Command-Iraq (CJFLCC-I); Corps Transportation Officer, III Armored Corps, Fort Hood, Texas; Commander, 837th Transportation Battalion at Pier 8 in Busan, South Korea; and Deputy Commander, 7th Transportation Brigade, (Expeditionary), Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA.


Colonel Toussaint’s military education includes: Command & General Staff Officers Course, Theater Logistics Studies Program (TLOG), Support Operations Course, Division Transportation Officers Course, Joint Course on Logistics, Combined Arms Services Staff School, Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, Contracting Officer Representative Course, Transportation Officer Basic Course, Air Deployment Planners Course, and Airborne School.


His military awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Joint Meritorious Unit Accommodation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, and Airborne Badge.

Colonel Toussaint is married to Mrs. Lakisha D. Toussaint. They have two daughters, Sanaa (12) and Sydnee (4).
