Blast from the past: Susquehanna hosts former first sergeant

By DLA Distribution Public Affairs

Delgado entered the New York Army National Guard on Aug. 18, 1987, attending One Station Unit Training as a field artillery cannon crewmember at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He entered active duty Jan. 19, 1989, and in February 1993 he reclassified as a 76C – PLL Tamm’s clerk.

In addition to his time as first sergeant at Distribution Susquehanna, Delgado’s assignments include: A 3/17th FA, Ansbach, Germany; Svs 3/17th FA, Fort Sill, Oklahoma; 706th Main Support Battalion, Fort Wainwright, Alaska; 46th Support Battalion, Fort Wainwright, Alaska; Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Fort Lee, Virginia; U.S. Army Office of Military Support, Washington, D.C.; U.S. Army Office of Support, Washington D.C.; NATO Communications Logistic Depot, Naples, Italy; CSM, U.S. Army Garrison Mannheim, Germany; 10th Special Forces Group (A) Group Support Battalion CSM, Special Operation Joint Task Forces Afghanistan/NATO Special Operations Component Command Afghanistan J4 CSM; 82nd Sustainment Brigade CSM; CENTCOM Materiel Recovery Element (CMRE) Brigade CSM; and G3/G4 Army Material Command (AMC) Sergeant Major.

Furthermore, Delgado deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn, Operation Odyssey Dawn and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Following the command brief, Nunez escorted Delgado on a tour of the Eastern Distribution Center.
