By Leon Moore DLA Aviation Public Affairs

Army Col. Julia Bell visited Defense Logistics Agency Aviation on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, June 12. She is slated to take over July 19 as the military deputy commander for Defense Logistics Agency Indo-Pacific located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

DLA Indo-Pacific is the agency’s primary liaison to U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, U.S. Forces Korea, U.S. Forces Japan and Alaska Command and provides a unified DLA interface for warfighters throughout the USINDOPACOM area of responsibility, integrating DLA support within the region and reaching back to other DLA activities in the continental United States for logistics solutions.

During her visit, Bell met with Charlie Lilli, deputy commander and Tanya Hill, chief of staff, and received a DLA Aviation overview brief, which included DLA Aviation’s support to the F-35 joint strike fighter, as well as mapping support. She also toured the new Aviation Operations Center.
