What is your job title, and what do you do, specifically? I am a business process analyst. In this capacity, I develop and provide training to our customer support specialists and technicians on functional training and I also write standard operating procedures.

What do you like most about your job? What I like most about my job is helping my end users with their needs.

What is your fondest memory of working for DLA Aviation? My fondest memory of working for DLA Aviation is participating in team building activities involving community service projects such as making blankets for the less fortunate, providing school supplies for the kids in our area and cleaning up a park.

What would you say has been your major contributions to your organization this year in your job?  I feel like my major contribution to this organization this year has been my ability to adapt to teleworking fulltime due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while at the same time, continuing to provide functional training to our DLA Aviation team members here in Ogden.

What aspect(s) of your current job gives you the most personal satisfaction and why?  I like providing others with knowledge as much as I like learning from others. Teaching and learning allows me to build one-on-one relationships.

What was your first job? I was a parts supply technician for 6 months for the Air Force, then my position went to Defense Logistics Agency. This career field entailed shipping and receiving parts and delivering parts to the mechanics.

What are some of your passions outside of work?  I like traveling, riding in the mountains and sand dunes on my sport utility vehicle. I also love spending time with my family.

What’s the most thrilling/adventurous thing you have ever done? The most thrilling thing I’ve ever done was rappelling into Cenotes, which are under water canals in Mexico.

What is your proudest accomplishment? Getting my bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Park University in Layton, Utah.

Have you had a mentor that helped you grow in your career and how did they help? My mentor is Michele Whiting. She is also a business process analyst here at Ogden and has helped me develop my knowledge of my job, is very supportive and always makes sure I know what a great job I’m doing.
