Resiliency is one of the Defense Logistics Agency’s five core values: Integrity, Resiliency and Diversity, Innovation, Accountability and Excellence. Resiliency is the foundation for agency leaders’ actions in support of their customers and employees. It provides employees flexibility to adapt to changing environments while achieving outstanding results.
DLA has produced a series of videos titled “Profiles in Resiliency,” to help support employees’ ability to bounce back and move forward.
Michael Watson, supervisory program analyst at DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., served in the U.S. Army for seven and a half years prior to beginning his career in federal service. During his time in active duty, he engaged in ground combat which made a lasting impression on him emotionally and has impacted his personal and professional life. He decided to elicit help from DLA’s Employee Assistance Program. Sharing his feelings helped Watson to progress into a place of resiliency and emotional wellness.
