PHILADELPHIA,
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Product Test Center Analytical hosted tours for DLA Headquarters counsel and junior Navy sailors April 3 in Philadelphia. The event helped educate partners and customers on the scientific testing employees do in support of the warfighter.
During DLA HQ’s legal team tour, the guests were provided information on testing that the PTC-A does to support the agency’s efforts to eliminate Commercial and Government Entity code fraud, or CAGE compromise, a practice by which companies defraud the government by falsely representing themselves or their materiel’s quality to obtain government contracts.
Sailors were given the opportunity to view the testing of items such as physical training uniforms and duty uniforms. PTC-A Supervisor Jamie Hieber ensured their faith in DLA Troop Support efforts to guarantee quality products for the warfighters.
“We welcome requests for tours like these,” Hieber said. “Our lab is proud of the scientific work we do in support of the warfighter. If we can provide peace of mind to our partners and customers in the quality of materiel that supports their missions, we are happy to oblige.”
