New policy to increase unreserved parking at HQC
The McNamara Headquarters Complex at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, has revised its parking policy more than two decades after the building became home to several defense organizations, including the Defense Logistics Agency, which will now manage the policy for the entire complex. Courtesy photo
Jan. 21, 2020 - More than two decades after the Defense Logistics Agency and other tenant organizations occupied the McNamara Headquarters Complex at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, the parking policy has been revised. DLA will now manage the policy for the entire complex.

Port Hueneme’s team supports annual Antarctic resupply mission
Motor Vessel Ocean Giant, one of two ships being utilized for this year’s Operation Deep Freeze, is loaded with provisions it will carry to Antarctica in support of the National Science Foundation’s ongoing mission. The annual trek is supported by Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Diego, Calif., at Port Hueneme where supplies are crated and packed for transport.
Jan. 24, 2020 - Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Diego, California’s satellite site at Port Hueneme, California, completed its annual packing, packaging, preservation and marking mission in support of the National Science Foundation’s “Operation Deep Freeze.”

DLA Susquehanna police officer receives recognition for 35 years of service

Jan. 21, 2020 - Sgt. Jeffrey LeMasters’ federal employment began when he joined the military at age 17. Thirty-five years later, LeMasters, now a patrolman with Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management Susquehanna Security and Emergency Services Police, is being recognized by leaders of his organization for 35 years of service.
