DLA Energy supports Northern Edge 21 exercise

DLA Energy Americas North provided fuel solutions for Air Force and Marine Corps units operating at remote Alaskan sites during exercise Northern Edge 21, May 3-17. NE21 is a U.S. Indo-Pacific Command exercise designed to provide war fighter training, test joint interoperability, and enhance the combat readiness of participating forces while utilizing Alaska's strategic location.

Asian Pacific American Heritage Month spotlight: Brig. Gen. Jimmy Canlas

Jimmy “Vegas” Canlas is the DLA Energy commander responsible for enabling mission readiness by providing globally resilient energy solutions to the Warfighter and Whole of Government. Raised in the Philippines, we asked him what Asian Pacific American Heritage Month means to him and why his heritage is important.

The fill stands and pump stations on Anderson Air Force Base, Guam, look shiny and new after receiving restorative coatings. The project is just a small part of an ongoing effort to protect vital fuel systems from the corrosion that pervades infrastructure on the tropical island. Preparing to take command

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Seven prospective DLA Energy commanding officers and two departing commanders participated in a pre-command orientation at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, May 6-7. With seven regional change of commands scheduled for June and July, the two-day course is designed to prepare commanders for their role and responsibilities as fuel providers to Combatant Commanders.
