Course Description:
This course delivers a general overview of Department of Defense (DOD) logistics concepts as they relate to the National Stock Number (NSN).  Instruction will incorporate the history and purpose of the Federal Catalog System (FCS) and discuss the significance of Cataloging data in the logistics arena.

Upon completion, attendees will possess a general understanding of the provisioning process and a basic familiarity with the fundamental principles of the Total Item Record (TIR) in the Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS).

Target Audience:
Personnel new to the Federal Catalog System (FCS).
