DLA Headquarters Operating Status

The McNamara Headquarters Complex is OPEN with 3 hours delayed arrival with the option for unscheduled leave or telework

For DLA employees who report to work in the National Capital Region at facilities outside the Capital Beltway (i.e., the McNamara HQC and Lorton), the following guidance applies:

  • Non-emergency employees who opt to report to the duty station based on the delayed arrival time will be granted weather and safety leave for the period of delay.
  • Employees who are scheduled to telework and those who elect unscheduled telework are expected to begin telework on time, request unscheduled leave, or a combination of both.
  • Employees on pre-approved leave for the entire workday or employees who requested unscheduled leave for the entire workday are charged leave for the entire day.
  • Emergency employees are expected to report to their worksites on time unless otherwise directed.

DLA employees who report to work in the National Capital Region at facilities inside the Capital Beltway (i.e., the Pentagon and the Suffolk Building) must follow daily operating status guidance issued by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.

Employees of tenant organizations must adhere to their own agency's policies.
