The McNamara Headquarters Complex is OPEN with 3 hours staggered early departure

For DLA employees who report to work in the National Capital Region at facilities outside the Capital Beltway (i.e., the McNamara HQC and Lorton) the following guidance applies:

• Non-emergency employees at the duty station will be dismissed from their offices 3 hours early relative to their normal departure times and will be granted weather and safety leave for the number of hours remaining in their workdays or for the time to commute home, as appropriate.

• Telework-ready employees who reported to the duty station will be granted weather and safety leave for their commute home where they will be required to telework or take leave for the remainder of their workday.

• Telework-ready employees at their telework site must continue to telework or take unscheduled leave, or a combination of both.

• Non-emergency employees who depart prior to their staggered early departure times may request to use unscheduled leave. Such employees will be charged leave for the remainder of their workday and will not receive any weather and safety leave.

• An employee on pre-approved leave for the entire workday or an employee who has requested unscheduled leave before an early departure policy is announced should continue to be charged leave for the remainder of the workday.

• Emergency employees are expected to remain at their worksites unless otherwise directed.

DLA employees who report to work in the National Capital Region at facilities inside the Capital Beltway (i.e., the Mark Center, Crystal Plaza, and the Pentagon), must follow daily operating status guidance issued by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.

Employees of tenant organizations must adhere to their own agency's policies.
