Audit Task Force, SharePoint site guide the agency toward audit readiness

A new collaborative platform in SharePoint gives Defense Logistics Agency employees a single place to find audit-related information and tools as they drive the agency toward achieving clean financial statements.

Agency assists with Navy property accounting

NAS PATUXENT RIVER, Md. — DLA disposal reps are helping the U.S. Navy create a property divestiture playbook for its upcoming "Materiel Clean Sweep."

Keeping large quantities of stock on shelves for long periods of time is not a good practice. Outdated parts and items with limited shelf life such as food can cause a significant cost to the agency. Inventory accuracy ensures financial statements that reflect the agency’s actual expenses and assist in obtaining a ‘clean audit.’

DLA Distribution pilots new Warehouse and Transportation Management System at Corpus Christi site

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — DLA Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas, has launched a commercial, off-the-shelf Warehouse Management System- the first of its kind within the network. The system is designed to offer flexible, automated support for processing various goods movements and for managing stocks within the distribution center.
