DLA Hall of Fame welcomes progressive, efficiency-driven leader 
Retired Navy Vice Admiral Mark Harnitchek will be inducted into the DLA Hall of Fame July 25. He was the agency’s director from November 2011 to December 2014, one of the busiest periods in military history.
June 19, 2019 - Retired Navy Vice Admiral Mark Harnitchek, a progressive leader known for telling employees “Define what success looks like and figure out how to get there,” will be inducted into the Defense Logistics Agency Hall of Fame June 25.

Day takes charge of DLA Logistics Operations 
Air Force Maj. Gen. Allan E. Day is replacing Air Force Maj. Gen. Mark Johnson as director of Defense Logistics Agency Logistics Operations at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
June 17, 2019 - Air Force Maj. Gen. Allan E. Day assumed the role as director of Defense Logistics Agency Logistics Operations June 17. He replaced Air Force Maj. Gen. Mark Johnson.

June 17, 2019 - Senthil Arul, who leads the Defense Logistics Information Research Program in R&D, was named one of AAGEN’s Innovative Leaders in Defense at its 2019 Leadership Workshop June 6 in Crystal City, Virginia. The award recognizes civilian and military leaders from throughout DoD who have embraced and promoted innovation during their careers.

DLA Fire and Emergency Services Displays Fire Equipment at Navy Recruiting Command Family Picnic

Mobile disposal site deploys for first time
Property Disposal Specialist Parry Miller guides the construction of a mobile command and control shelter at Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo. Miller will serve as the disposal site lead for two weeks as a DLA Disposition Services team torches, shreds and removes broken down equipment the U.S. Army has accumulated during its peacekeeping mission there.
June 18, 2019 - An agency property disposal team has set up temporary shop at Kosovo’s Camp Bondsteel to help the 20-year-old base rid itself of defunct and decrepit equipment.
