Marines test system to expand fuel capabilities
Marine Lance Cpl. Abril Garcia, a bulk fuel specialist from Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, Okinawa, Japan, retrieves a fuel sample during a technical demonstration of the Expeditionary Mobile Fuel Additization Capability at the Charleston Defense Fuel Supply Point Dec. 6, 2018. The EMFAC was developed to supplement the supply provided by Defense Logistics Agency Energy, the primary agency responsible for additizing fuel and delivering it to the Marine Corps, based on a universal need statement signed by the commanding general of Marine Corps Pacific in November 2017.
