Staff of the Nicolas Cruz National Hospital in Jalapa, Guatemala, receive donated excess field sterilizers used for cleaning medical instruments. According to World Help officials, many rural hospitals wash and reuse instruments by hand, which can sometimes aid the spread of germs and infection. The machines, which the agency has distributed to Guatemala, Uganda, Honduras and other countries, provide a clean and safe way to contain germs and reuse medical equipment.
