Agency helps community prepare for the storm

Sept. 12, 2019 - As Hurricane Dorian approached, police officers from South Carolina received excess military tents and other items to prepare for the worst with help from the Defense Logistics Agency.

DLA Troop Support provides 96,000 meals and 1,400 cases of bottled water to Hurricane Dorian relief efforts

Sept. 12, 2019 - As the threat of Hurricane Dorian became imminent, the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence supply chain ensured meals-ready-to-eat, bottled water and fresh fruits and vegetables were available to those directly impacted by the storm, starting August 29.

Expanded operations and plans capability supports Dorian relief efforts of FEMA, government partners
The National Response Coordination Center at FEMA in Washington D.C. is activated to respond to Hurricane Dorian.
