DLA Troop Support holds first virtual event to mark LGBTQ Pride Month
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support hosted Annise Parker as the keynote speaker of its first virtual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Pride observation, held on June 26, 2020 in Philadelphia and virtually throughout the workforce. Parker was the first openly gay person to serve as the mayor of a major American city, and was one of only two women to serve as Houston’s mayor. She is currently the president and CEO of the LGBTQ Victory Fund and Victory Institute, which works to increase the number of LGBTQ people holding public office.
