The Defense Federal Community celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Jan. 12, with a live-streamed panel discussion sponsored by the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity’s African American Employment Committee.
The Defense Logistics Agency has announced the DLA 54th Annual Employee Recognition Award winners. Columbus secured top honors in several categories, recognizing seven associates and one workforce team for their outstanding contributions.
Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. Kristen Fabry and Ohio National Guard Adjutant General Major General John C. Harris, Jr. accompanied Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and his wife, Fran, during a visit with members of the Ohio National Guard Jan. 6 at the Defense Supply Center Columbus. Guard members are reporting for duty to aid the state's hospitals during the current surge in COVID-19 hospitalizations.
Former Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Deputy Commander James McClaugherty has earned a place in the 2021 DLA Hall of Fame for overseeing increased material availability and inventory reduction.
Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management – Columbus Site Director Dan Bell retired Dec. 30 after 20 years at the Defense Supply Center Columbus. Leaving the leadership post he’s held since 2015, Bell said the time was right to start the next chapter. His wife Robin, a longtime DLA Land and Maritime contracting officer, retired in September.
