DLA Energy Commander visits Texas aerostat site
Defense Logistics Agency Energy Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Jimmy Canlas and a team from DLA Energy Aerospace visited the Tethered Aerostat Radar System site at El Indio, Texas, Sept. 29. The balloons, technically known as aerostats, are filled with DLA Energy Aerospace helium and are operated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Coast Guard Training Center gets energy savings contract
A Defense Logistics Agency Energy Savings Performance Contract will add energy resiliency and reduce reliance on the power grid for the Coast Guard’s largest West Coast Training Center, TRACEN Petaluma. DLA Energy supports Hurricane Ida relief efforts
The DLA Mobile Command Vehicle, manned by the DLA Information Operational team of Joe Clark and Forrest O’Connor, arrived at the Emergency Operation Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to support efforts with Foster Fuels, FEMA, and the state of Louisiana on Sept. 8. Sept. 27, 2021 - Task Force Americas is a team of DLA Energy employees who respond to and support a variety of emergency situations under the Defense Support of Civil Authorities mission. Their latest mission was providing fuel support to the FEMA following Hurricane Ida’s landfall on the Gulf Coast.
