DLA Aviation employees remember 9/11: Juan Carlos Gachet
In commemoration of the terrorist attacks against the United States on Sept. 11, 2001, Defense Logistics Agency Aviation employees tell their stories of where they were and what they were doing that fateful day 20 years ago. Juan Carlos Gachet is a contract specialist at DLA Aviation in Richmond, Virginia. He is pictured at his home in Kileen, Texas in 2001 where he was serving as an active duty soldier at nearby Fort Hood, Texas. He deployed to Afghanistan four years later.
