TRACY, California –
On May 11, Congressman Jeff Denham, U.S. House of Representatives, California 10th District, paid a visit to DLA Distribution San Joaquin, California. During his short visit, he took the opportunity to meet with the senior leadership of Distribution, Installation Support and the local union.
Prior to the command brief presented by Marine Corps Col. Andre Harrell, San Joaquin’s commander, Denham took the opportunity to address the team. “It’s great to be back, I talk about you [the distribution center] and what you do here.”
Harrell presented the brief and discussed the distribution center’s key capabilities and explained the breadth of the distribution mission.
Upon conclusion of the brief, Denham was given a brief windshield tour of the installation. A highlight of the tour was pointing out the new basketball courts and RV storage areas that improve the quality of life for the distribution center’s employees.
Denham concluded that he was thankful for his short time with the team and looks forward to coming out again for another visit with the San Joaquin team.
