Adderly selected as Jacksonville distribution center deputy

Richard Adderly has been selected to serve as deputy commander of DLA Distribution Jacksonville, Florida.

A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Adderly enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1983, where he spent four years as an inventory management specialist.  He served at Pease Air Force Base, New Hampshire; King Salmon Air Base, Alaska; and Plattsburgh Air Force Base, New York, supporting the Strategic Air Command.

From 1987 to 1989, after completion of his Air Force enlistment, Adderly worked as an inventory control clerk with 3M Esselte Letraset located in Paramus, New Jersey.

September 1989 to February 2003, Adderly held position of demand planner with E.I. DuPont DE Nemours Company located in Atlanta, Georgia, where he utilized analytical and evaluative methods such as root cause analysis and performing customer support analysis in addition of exception reporting data resulting with an overall 95 percent line item fill rate. 

Adderly held position of supply chain planner for Eastman Kodak from February 2003 until September 2005. He was responsible for serving as a material planner supporting service organization of assigned product lines of digital film processing equipment for the Eastman Kodak Printing and Publishing business. Provided service providers with manufacturing and delivery forecasts.

From there, Adderly served as inventory manager for Source One Direct from September 2005 to February 2008. Responsible for logistics and inventory control operations. He provided guidance regarding the interpretation of materiel management regulations, policies and procedures for a business specializing in secure and high value financial tools.

Adderly served as the champion core user with Georgia Pacific February 2008 to February 2009. As a member of a Project Management Team, he was tasked to automate all paper mills nationwide to enhance robust asset accountability utilizing proven material management practices via radio frequency/ bar code technology.

From May 2009 until February 2011, Adderly held the position of operations planner with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. He was tasked with developing demand planning functions for the service organization in an effort to improve availability, and become leaner.

Beginning in 2011, Adderly has held the position of distribution process worker supervisor with DLA Distribution Warner Robins, Georgia, as well as supervisory inventory management specialist at DLA Aviation Jacksonville, Florida.
