Marine Corps birthday and veteran events happening Nov. 7

Marine Corps Birthday

9 a.m.     Building 20 Auditorium

The celebration will consist of a speech by the keynote speaker retired Marine and DLA Land and Maritime Executive Programs Director Todd Jenkins, remarks by DLA Land and Maritime and Defense Supply Center Columbus Commander Navy Rear Adm. John Palmer, color guard provided by Lima Company 3d Battalion 25th Marines and cake cutting ceremony with the oldest and youngest Marines in attendance. A cake and punch reception will follow the ceremony.

MWR's Veterans Information Fair

11 a.m. - 1 p.m.     Buckeye and Cardinal rooms

Schedule an appointment to receive a Ohio State Veteran ID Card at the event. Must bring your DD214.

  1. Select "Veteran's ID Appointment Scheduler" event.
  2. Select "DSCC" site.
  3. Select "Building 20 Buckeye Room" location.
  4. Scroll down to choose a time slot and "Book Event"

EEO Veterans Employment Special Emphasis Program

1 p.m.     Building 20 Auditorium

The program's theme is "Understanding Veterans Qualities." The guest speaker retired Capt. Karen Roddy-Spikes will share her insights on the value veterans bring to our workforce.
