Nominations for DLA Hall of Fame due April 22

By DLA Public Affairs

Current and former Defense Logistics Agency employees have until April 22 to submit nominations of former employees for the 2022 DLA Hall of Fame, which recognizes those with significant, enduring contributions to the agency.

Former civilians and military members of any grade or rank, living or deceased, can be nominated but must have been separated from DLA for at least three years by the nomination deadline and have no prospects for future employment with the agency.

Nominations must be endorsed by a commander, director or deputy of a major subordinate command or directorate and include: a nomination form (DLA Common Access Card required) with general information on the nominee and submitting employee; a narrative description of specific contributions that qualify the nominee for Hall of Fame recognition; supporting documents like published articles, manuals and reports; and a portrait-style official photograph of the nominee.

Nominations will be evaluated on the individual’s contributions to the agency. Those selected for induction, or the next of kin if the selectee is deceased, will be notified in writing.

The ceremony is tentatively scheduled for Aug. 10.

Nominations should be sent to honoraryawardsub@dla.mil. For information, email joseph.davenport@dla.mil or laura.belk@dla.mil.
