DLA Hall of Fame nominations due Jan. 16

By DLA Public Affairs

Current and former Defense Logistics Agency employees have until Jan. 16 to nominate former employees for the 2024 DLA Hall of Fame. Former agency civilians and military members of any grade or rank, living or deceased, can be nominated.

Nominees must have been separated from DLA for at least three years by the nomination deadline, and nominations must be endorsed by the commander or deputy of a major subordinate command or directorate.

Nomination must include:

  • The nomination form with general information on the nominee and the submitting employee.
  • A narrative description of specific contributions that qualify the nominee for Hall of Fame recognition.
  • A proposed citation for the Hall of Fame brochure and website.
  • Supporting documents such as published articles, manuals and reports.
  • At least five photos of the nominee performing their DLA duties or other official activities.
  • The name of the organization’s point of contact for coordinating nominations.

Nominations will be evaluated on the individual’s contributions to the agency. Those selected for induction, or the next of kin if the selectee is deceased, will be notified in writing.

Nomination forms are available in the document shared below and should be sent to honoraryawardsub@dla.mil. For more information, contact Bach Dang at 571-767-0692 or bach.dang@dla.mil or Laura Belk at 571-767-5389 or laura.belk@dla.mil.

An induction ceremony is tentatively scheduled for May 16.
