Construction on new east gate at DSCR on schedule for spring opening
Construction on the new Jefferson Davis Highway entry point to Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, began in late spring/early summer of 2018 and is more than 70% complete. The project, slated to be operational sometime late spring 2020, includes new access roads, active and passive barriers and a new security house. The current Jefferson Davis Highway entry point, which was built in 1942, doesn’t meet current federal security and Department of Defense anti-terrorism standards.
