Brahmsteadt named DLA’s new command senior enlisted leader

The Office of the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff announced March 6 that Command Master Chief Shaun Brahmsteadt will succeed Command Sgt. Maj. Charles Tobin as the Defense Logistics Agency’s command senior enlisted leader. 

Brahmsteadt currently serves as the command master chief, Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland. A native Californian, Brahmsteadt entered naval service in July 1985, attending recruit training in San Diego. He graduated from the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy in October 2004 and the Command Master Chief Course in June 2006. 

Brahmsteadt previously served as the command master chief for the USS George Washington stationed out of Yokosuka, Japan. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Technology and a master’s degree in Administrative Leadership from the University of Oklahoma.

The change of responsibility ceremony date is yet to be determined.
