July/August Loglines now available

By DLA Public Affairs

The July/August edition of Loglines, the Defense Logistics Agency’s flagship magazine, is now available online and in print at some DLA locations. The publication depicts the hard work of DLA employees and gives an in-depth look at how they provide everything from food to fuel to Department of Defense customers and other federal agencies.

This issue includes:

Old Stuff, New Life, an overview of how DLA Disposition Services gives new purpose to old or excess items;

Sustained Power, highlighting DLA’s partnership with the U .S. Army Corps of Engineers to rebuild the power grid in Puerto Rico;

Continued Deterrence, a feature on DLA’s support to nuclear missile programs; and

Rigging Victory, about DLA parachute riggers who do more than just pack chutes;

The magazine also includes a question-and-answer column with Navy Rear Adm. Deborah Haven, director of DLA’s Joint Reserve Force, plus stories on the agency’s new Service Readiness Dashboard and the new Health of the Agency initiative created to spot trends and develop solutions to workforce issues in areas such as human resources, equal employment opportunity and safety.
