The DLA Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program hosts events throughout the month of April, nationally recognized as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.
Fort Belvoir, Virginia, April 29, 2019 —
DLA Energy welcomes guest speaker Air Force Sexual Assault Response Coordinator Heather Turner, May 1 from 11 a.m. to noon in the Kunkel Conference Room, Suite 4950. Turner will address the neurobiology of trauma; its impact, the relationship between trauma and memory and how trauma affects the brain and behavior.
Turner serves as program director for the Bolling Air Force Base/Pentagon Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program. She is an advocate for survivors of sexual assault and manages over 40 volunteer victim advocates in the National Capital Region. Turner conducts annual training for more than 200,000 Air Force active duty and civilian personnel.
