PHILADELPHIA –
More than 90 employees at the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support caught a glimpse of the warfighter support they provide during a trip to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, Nov. 2.
They saw examples of the materials they provide and met with service members during stops at an aircraft maintenance hangar, a firehouse, a crisis response unit, and a uniform and protective equipment warehouse.
They also tasted food provided by the Subsistence supply chain while eating lunch at the Halverson Hall dining facility.
The trip was part of Troop Support Academy, a three-day course that provides employees a big-picture perspective of the organization and a better understanding of how they fit into its warfighter support mission.
Senior leaders and representatives from DLA Troop Support’s five supply chains and other staff offices spoke to employees about their respective missions during the other two days of course.
