About DLA Acquisition

The Defense Logistics Agency Acquisition Directorate manages the establishment and operations of procurement policy and oversight for DLA's 5.2 million items managed. With nearly $35 billion in annual sales, DLA buys, stores and distributes food, fuel, uniform apparel, pharmaceutical, medical and surgical products and equipment and weapons system repair parts for the military services and other customers worldwide.

DLA DIRECTIVE (DLAD) REVISION 5 WITH PGI AND APPENDICES

The DLAD implements and supplements requirements of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), DFARS Procedures, Guidance and Information (PGI), Department of Defense publications, and DLA Issuances. 

DLA DIRECTIVE (DLAD) PROCUREMENT NOTES

DLAD Procurement Notes are directives utilized by the contracting officer in DLA solicitations and contract awards.  DLA procurement notes implement and/or supplement the FAR and DFARS requirements when the procurement has unique characteristics or special requirements.

MASTER SOLICITATION FOR SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITIONS

This solicitation, called the DLA Master Solicitation for Automated Simplified Acquisitions, is used with the request for quotations (RFQ), and the awards of purchase orders and basic contracts for automated EProcurement acquisitions valued up to the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT).
