Robert H. Johnson (SES)

Acquisition Executive, DLA Land and Maritime

Mr. Johnson is the Acquisition Executive at Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime located in Columbus, Ohio. DLA Land and Maritime has more than 2,500 associates at 37 locations worldwide, to include three DLA Depot Level reparable detachments, four detachments supporting U.S Naval Shipyards and deployed units. He is responsible for an extensive program of supply acquisition and services including acquisition planning, strategic sourcing, industrial base management, and logistics research and development programs related to Land and Maritime supply chain items for the military services and other federal agencies worldwide.

Prior to joining DLA, Johnson served in multiple leadership roles for the USAF at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, most recently, Chief of Contracting, Fighters and Advanced Aircraft Directorate. In that role, he managed a diverse portfolio, directing the contracting activities of over 120 contracting professionals, delivering critical warfighter current and Next Generation Air Dominance requirements in excess of $5 Billion per fiscal year. Johnson began his contracting career in 1997 at Wright-Patterson AFB as a Copper Cap intern.

Throughout his career he has supported multiple program offices, weapons systems and FMS programs to include KC-135, C-130J, C-5, C-17, F-16, Predator/Reaper, LAIRCM, several subsystems and electronic systems, contracted professional services as well as multiple source selections. Johnson also served on the Air Force Material Command contracting staff in addition to assignments as the Chief of Contracting for F-16, ISR Sensors and Big Safari and Organizational Senior Functional for Program Executive Office Mobility and Training Aircraft.
